People Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:   

RMI is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join our growing People Operations team at RMI. Reporting to the People Operations  Manager, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on multiple workstreams within the human resources function and will take ownership of our employee data’s integrity.  This role will also provide support to our Crisis Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Owns processing all transactional employee data changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, manager changes, transfers, and other transactions as needed in our HCM and other systems 
  • Prioritizes data integrity and performs a variety of tasks in support of accurate data, including conducting regular audits of HR data to preserve its integrity and accuracy  
  • Provide administrative support to our Crisis Management Team by coordinating agendas and meetings, assisting in policy creation and maintenance, and responding to general inquiries.  
  • Provide administrative support to People Operations and People Team leadership, including group meeting agendas and meetings, calendar coordination, and planning for team meetings and events. 
  • Manages expense reimbursement process for People Operations team inclusive of monthly invoices for immigration, PEO, and others 
  • First responder to employment verification requests 
  • Creates and maintains employee files and associated documentation 
  • Other duties as assigned      

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Prior experience in human resources or an administrative function 
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems 
  • Strong computer and analytical skills required (Microsoft products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)  
  • Experience using discretion with handling confidential information      

Preferred qualifications:  

  • 1 – 2 years professional experience as a human resources coordinator  
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws  

Location    

This position can remain remote through the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the COVID-19 situation improves, we will remain flexible on location—with a preference that the successful candidate would live near one of RMI’s U.S. locations; New York, NY; Washington, DC; Boulder, CO; Basalt, CO; or Oakland, CA.

Compensation 

The hourly pay range for this position is $22.50- $26.00.  Salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role has an additional 5% bonus target!
